Depending on the mode, the Camera 1 sends the binned counts or the thresholded value (0 or 1) per bin to Qendra Pulse. The latency of the whole loop is currently getting characterized.
Software interface
Control over the exposure, ion/atom regions and other control registers is exposed over the network through a web interface as well as an API for a Python client. This app uses the pydase library.
The camera can be reconfigured synchronously to the experimental sequence in real-time. This makes it possible to dynamically adjust the camera settings such as the region of interest, which can be used to minimize the sizes of the image transfers and therefore reduce the overall latency.
